Breakfasts and More!

You need a good breakfast inside of you when you’re out all day either skiing, boarding, biking or hiking, or you are continuing your road trip and are hours away from your destination. We’re very proud that we can provide tasty breakfasts that will set you up nicely for the day. You can choose healthy or not so healthy, large or small, vegetarian or not.

We put a lot of thought in the food that we offer and are always researching new breakfast ideas. We even have guests providing us with new ideas and recipes. To date we can provide you with a different breakfast every day of a two week stay! We hope that shows in the reviews that we receive.

Our breakfasts every morning include:

  • a different hot cooked breakfast or vegetarian breakfast every day such as thick pancakes, traditional cooked English breakfast, Eggs Benedict, Asparagus and Gruyère Omelettes and Breakfast Burritos!
  • porridge with fruit and maple syrup, which we highly recommend to give you the energy for a long day on the slopes!
  • freshly baked bread with jams, Marmite and honey
  • cereals
  • yoghurts
  • fruit
  • English breakfast and herbal tea and premium dark roast coffee

Cath also makes home baked cake or cookies which we make available in the afternoons to greet you when you return, and there’s always tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities on hand for you whatever time of day.

We know what it’s like staying away for periods of time, and while it’s great checking out the local restaurants, you might not want to eat out every night. To help you with this, we also have a microwave, fridge, glasses, bottle openers, crockery and cutlery in the dining room so you can prepare your own lunch pack, call for a take-out meal, or even just grab some food from the local supermarkets should you wish to have a relaxing night in. Feel free to take your food into the living room if you’re watching your favourite program on TV!

Allergies and Preferences

Please let us know ahead of time if you have any allergies or food dislikes so that we can provide you with the food you need to have a great day in the mountains. Also, let us know if you are vegetarian so that we can think up some tasty starts in the morning for you.

We always try to use local produce whenever we are able. Our sausages are from an old Lincolnshire recipe given to us by my dad that I’ve passed on to our local butcher Back Country Meats. They also provide us with our bacon, and we buy our free range eggs locally.
